Work Duty description – soccer and baseball

Each family is required to perform a work duty. We require each family to work one session. You can select the Time and Date. You may also buy out of your work duty. Each assignment is 6 hours in length and may be split between different people, as long as the entire 6 hour shift is covered in a single session.

Concession duty details

Each Concession Stand Duty is 6 hours. You will perform various duties in our Concession Stand as directed by the Board Member on Duty. You authorize FAA to charge your credit card if you fail to show up for your selected work duty which will result in your credit card being charged $150. You are required to select one session during Baseball/Softball signups and one session for Soccer. Dates are subject to change. If your date gets rained out you will be required to reschedule for another day. All registrations will be reviewed to make sure that this has taken place.

CONCESSION STAND WORK AGREEMENT

Our concession stand is staffed entirely by volunteers. As such it is imperative that assigned workers arrive on time to fulfill their shifts. FAA reserves the right to change start times based upon circumstance. All effort will be given to notify any workers who might be affected by any changes.

When selecting a work assignment date please choose wisely. Rescheduling may not be available when you realize it's a bad date for you. In the event you cannot fulfill your commitment, workers will be encouraged to find a suitable replacement. This should be a family member over the age of 18, preferably over 21, another adult, or someone from an FAA approved list which is available at the fields.

Any substitution should be communicated, whenever possible, to the concession worker managers.  Consumption of any alcoholic beverage while on duty is prohibited. Any worker seen consuming alcohol while on duty will be asked to leave, and could face forfeiture of their $150 work deposit. Only workers 21 years of age or older are permitted to pour, serve and collect money for alcoholic beverages.

  • No one under the age of 18 is allowed to work at the concession stand. No Open toe shoes are allowed. No one other than scheduled workers and Fenton Athletic Committee members on duty are allowed within the confines of the concession stand. This includes children of scheduled workers, children of committee members and field officials such as umpires/referees.
  • All workers will be expected to perform any duties necessary including trash duty and bathroom cleaning, etc.
  • Workers are not entitled to free food from the concession stand but are permitted a non-alcoholic drink and may purchase food to be consumed after their shift or during slow periods at the discretion of a committee member on duty.
